Itinerary:
Day 1 DEPART LOS ANGELES.
Board your overnight flight for Sydney.
Day 2 EN ROUTE.
During your flight, cross the International Dateline.
Day 3 ARRIVE SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA.
Arrive in Sydney. Transfer to your hotel where the evening is free.
Day 4 SYDNEY.
This morning, visit Featherdale Wildlife Park to see some of Australia's unusual fauna – koalas, kangaroos, wombats and emus. Next, board a luncheon cruise on Sydney Harbour. See offshore views of the Harbour Bridge, Opera House, Fort Denison and beautiful waterfront homes. Afterwards take a guided tour of the world famous Opera House. (L)
Day 5 SYDNEY.
A day at leisure. Perhaps join an optional tour to the Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley, or one of the many other choices available.
Day 6 SYDNEY / CAIRNS.
Board a mid-day flight to Cairns. Tonight take time to enjoy one of the fine international restaurants along the Esplanade.
Day 7 BARRIER REEF EXCURSION.
Board a luxury catamaran bound for Michaelmas Cay. Enjoy your day with rides in the semi-submersible, guided snorkeling tours, swimming or just relaxing on the beach. On your trip back to Cairns, enjoy the live music on the open deck. (L)
Day 8 CAIRNS.
A full day at leisure. Optional trips include the Kuranda rainforest and Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park, river rafting, a rainforest walk, scuba diving or an outing to spot crocodiles.
Day 9 CAIRNS / LOS ANGELES.
Free morning prior to your flight home. Cross the International Dateline and arrive in Los Angeles the same afternoon.

Start Your Vacation Early in Melbourne
Before spending time in Sydney, Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef, why not spend three nights in Australia’s cultural capital.
Day 1 DEPART LOS ANGELES.
Board your flight to Melbourne.
Day 2 EN ROUTE.
During your flight, cross the International Dateline.
Day 3 ARRIVE MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA.
Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to your hotel. The balance
of the day is at leisure. Tonight, dine aboard a converted 1927 Tramcar traveling through the streets of Melbourne. (D)
Day 4 MELBOURNE.
On this morning’s city tour, see the Shrine of Remembrance, colorful Carlton, the Queen Victoria Markets and cross Westgate Bridge for some beautiful views. Also, take a stroll around the Royal Botanic and Fitzroy Gardens. End your tour with a cruise on the Yarra River. The balance of the day is free.
Day 5 MELBOURNE.
Your day is at leisure to enjoy this cosmopolitan city. Optional side trips include the Yarra Valley Wine growing region as well as a day trip along the Great Ocean Road.
Day 6 MELBOURNE / SYDNEY.
Your day is free until your transfer to the airport for your flight to Sydney. |
