DAILY ITINERARY
Day 1 USA/Nice
Depart on own arrangements to Nice.
Day 2 Nice
Upon arrival in Nice, transfer on your own to your hotel. Enjoy a day at leisure
to relax in Nice, the capital of the Cote d'Azur.

Day 3 Nice
Make the most of your morning with our half-day tour to get acquainted with the
highlights of the city. You will see the old city, flower market, and the
Castle. See the Roman ruins of Cimiez, which today plays host to a series of
festivals and events through the year. Drive past the Matisse Museum, the port
and promenade des Anglais which stretches along the Baie des Anges. (B)
Day 4 Nice/Grasse/Aix-en-Provence/Avignon
Drive to Grasse, an intriguing town of steep, arcaded streets and the world's
perfume center, surrounded by fields of roses, lavender, mimosa, and jasmine.
Then drive to Avigon where we recommend a visit to the Palais des Papes,
dominating the city with its fortress-like towers. See the Pont d'Avignon, the
partial bridge from the 12th century. (B)

Day 5 Avignon/Lyon
Follow the magnificent valley of the Rhone north to Lyon. In the city centre-the
Prequile, the narrow strip of land between the River Saone and the River Rhone,
see several outstanding architectural examples of buildings and museums in the
region. This evening you will enjoy a traditional dinner cruise. (B,D)
Hotel Charlemagne
Day 6 Beaujolais
Explore Lyon at your leisure this morning. On Thursday, Friday, and Sunday
afternoons join a tour into the Beaujolais country to discover the landscape and
wine routes, ending with a visit to the Hamlet in Beaujolais with wine tasting.
This tour will be replaced by a Hop On Hop Off tour of Lyon on non-operating
days or between November-March. Return to Lyon. (B)
Day 7 Lyon/Beune/Dijon/Colmar
Depart for Beaune, the center of the Burgundy wine trade. There are many local
vineyards, and we will organize a visit to the cellars of Bouchard Aine &
Fils, for a personalized guided tour with wine tasting. Continue your journey to
Dijon where you may decide to stop and visit one of France's most popular
museums, the Musee de Beaux Arts. There are also plenty of opportunities to
purchase Dijon mustard, and if you are visiting in November, take in the superb
gastronomic fair. Colmar is your stop for tonight. (B)
Hotel Unterlinten
Day 8 Colmar/Strasbourg
Colmar has a picture-postcard feel about it with brightly painted, half-timbered
houses on narrow, twisting lanes. The best way to explore the town is on foot.
The river winds its way through the center known as the Little Venice District.
Visit the "Musee d'Uterlinden", housed in a former Dominican convent
and a view the masterpiece of Mathias Grunewald. You will see one of the most
extraordinary representations ever conceived on the scene of Calvary. Enjoy a
short drive to Stasbourg. Upon arrival discover the city on your cruise as you
travel along the river, through its locks and canals which make this city so
unique. (B)

Day 9 Strasbourg/Champagne Region/Reims
You can visit the Kronenbourg Breweries (by appointment) before leaving
Strasbourg. The visit includes entrance to the museum which traces the history
of Kronenbourg from 1664 until today, and sampling. Drive to Epermay into the
Champagne Region, and enjoy a visit to the prestigious cellars of Moet &
Chandon (must be pre-arranged). Enjoy picturesque landscape between Epernay to
Reims. (B)
Hotel Garden Court
Day 10 Reims/Paris
Reims is also the city of coronations where most of the French Kings were
crowned. Take time to visit the Gothic cathedral. You may choose to visit the
Veuve Clicquot or Tattinger Cellars today (must be pre arranged) before starting
your drive to Paris.
Day 11 Paris
Morning at leisure. On the afternoon, enjoy some of the history of France and
the national monuments. Continue on a cruise on the Seine River and end with a
visit to the Eiffel Tower to admire the superb panorama view of the city. (B)
Hotel Du Cadran
Day 12 Departure
It is time to say au revoir to France, transfer on own to airport. Services end
after breakfast. (B)
