GO-AS-YOU-PLEASE OPEN VOUCHER PLAN specially designed for those free spirits who
don’t want to be bound by an itinerary.
One
of the problems encountered when opting for flexibility is uncertainty:
Not knowing from day to day where to find the appropriate accommodations
and more importantly, not knowing how much they will cost.
This plan erases the uncertainty.
How
does this plan work?
Let's assume that you plan to be in Ireland for 10 nights. You would like to
stay in Bed & Breakfasts for 8 nights and in a Hotel for 2 nights. You would purchase 8 Bed and Breakfast vouchers at $30 per person
per night, and 2 Hotel vouchers at $50 per person per night. Total cost per
person for the 10 nights would come to $340 or $680 for two persons – an
incredibly good deal for the summer season.
Furthermore these rates include the traditional English or Irish
Breakfast (large) and the VAT (approximately 17.5%). We could pre-book
your first night’s accommodation, and after that you would call ahead
to each place to book your required additional nights.
What
other charges would I have?
There would be very small supplements for single rooms, private baths, and
upgraded accommodations, all payable in pounds locally and directly to the
establishments.
How
are the reservations handled?
We
recommend that you pre-book your first night so that you can proceed to your
accommodations without delay after your arrival. After that, you can call ahead
to each establishment to make your booking. Elsie from England will be happy to
book your first reservation free of charge. Additional reservations can be made
for a fee of $17 per location.
How
many choices will I have of places to stay?
In Britain, you will have a choice from 2,000 Bed & Breakfasts from the
largest cities to the smallest villages. In Ireland, there are 350 Bed &
Breakfasts from which to select. Additionally,
there are over 1000 Hotels who also participate in the Hotel Voucher program. In
France, there are over 500 Bed & Breakfasts and over 400 Hotels.
What
information will I have concerning these establishments?
Your travel documents will consist of your vouchers as well a
detailed directory containing the
following information:
- Geographical
regions with each B&B listed under their nearest town/city,
- Directions
to each place

The
type of bedrooms available (singles, twins, doubles, etc)
-
Bathrooms
(private and/or ensuite),
-
Smoking
or non-smoking
-
Whether
children are accepted or not,
-
Availability
of parking,
-
Distance
from rail station
-
Languages
spoken,
-
Facilities
as televisions, telephones, tea/coffee facilities, etc.
In
other words, all the information you could possibly need in order to make an
informed choice.
Are
all conditions the same for Britain, Ireland and France?
No, there are some differences depending on each country and also some
differences between Bed & Breakfasts and Hotels.
