tour: |
|
| Burghope Manor
- Standing in beautiful countryside in a small village, Burghope Manor
dates from the 13th century. Burghope has strong links with the reign
of England's most flamboyant and rambunctious monarch, Henry VIII. The house is
full of great works and priceless treasures. Although steeped in history,
Burghope Manor is first and foremost a living family home. The rooms are
exquisitely and elegantly furnished, with the medieval heritage lovingly
preserved and enhanced by its proud and caring owners. |

|
|
| Tower - A
former boarder house, which was fortified to survive the continuous warfare
between English and Welsh prior to the 15th century. In 1465 the
Mayor of Chester was hanged at Tower, but today's guests are assured of a
friendly welcome in the historical home, which has been in the Charles family
for over 500 years. Guests will dine in the medieval dining room and relax in
the Queen Anne drawing room. |
|
|

|
Langley Castle - The
castle dates from the 14th century and stands in 10 acres of wooded
grounds. This fascinating castle cannot fail to intrigue. The main staircase
contains what are regarded to be the finest examples of 14th century
Garderobes in Europe. An open fireplace adds to the charm of the magnificent
drawing room, dominated by beautiful stained glass windows. The beautifully
appointed bedrooms are enhanced by the arched window seats, thick stone walls,
and beamed ceilings. |
|
| Manor Farm Barn
- Located in an unspoiled Hamlet, Manor Farm offers guests an opportunity to
experience country living at its best. The owners have turned a 300-year old
tithe-barn, built of honey-coloured Cotswold stone, into a comfortable and
welcoming house. Breakfast is served in the sunlit dining room. You can relax on
comfortable armchairs in front of the drawing room fire. The beamed bedrooms are
exquisitely decorated with every comfort. Views from the house are flower-filled
gardens and the Cotswold Hills. |
|
| The Old Rectory - A Georgian
manse set in 2 1/2 acres of grounds overlooking the Conway Estuary, with views
of the surrounding mountains and Conway Castle. The house is furnished with
antiques and a beautiful collection of Victorian watercolours. The bedrooms are
elegantly appointed with four-poster beds, half testers, and coronets. The
décor is superb and every comfort has been provided. Time is always available
for guests who wish to learn about Welsh culture, history, and language. 'Hardd
Hafan Hedd' means "beautiful haven of peace", a fitting description
for the Old Rectory. |
