I want to tell you how unbelievably helpful Hedy Toolen, at
Elsie from England, was in my last minute search for tickets to a wedding in
Rome.
I had booked tickets for three people through an internet
wholesaler, but when I contacted them two weeks before the trip, I found that
they had cancelled all 3 tickets. Hedy was able to quickly find less expensive
tickets and a better itinerary within minutes, and less than two weeks before
the trip!
I will only contact Hedy at Elsie's in the future.

The trip was superb. You did a wonderful job of orchestrating
our journey. All of the B&Bs were good, conveniently located, and we would
recommend them. The hosts were all very good. We were impressed with how very
friendly and helpful everyone in Great Britain was.
Being first time travelers to England, we couldn't have had
better planning help than that which you provided. Your attention to detail
made our trip a very enjoyable experience. We would unhesitatingly recommend
Elsie from England to anyone who is planning a trip such as ours.

We had a terrific time. We enjoyed everything on the trip. The
flower show was absolutely wonderful as were Sissinghurst, and the private
garden we went to. We loved the Cotwolds and some of the other quaint
villages. Your agent, Phillipe, in France was just
great. He went out of his way to make our stay there a pleasure.
Anyway, as I said, we had a terrific time. Thanks so much.
We'd recommend your services to anyone.

I just wanted to say thank you for all of your assistance
with our recent trip to London. We loved everything about it from the
people to the sights to the atmosphere.
Henry VIII was a great hotel in a very convenient location,
and I am glad you recommended it to us.
We also enjoyed the attractions included in our package. The
kids loved the double-decker bus sightseeing tour and the London Underground
tube!
You were right - this wasn't just the "one trip of a
lifetime" because we all can't wait to go back.
We'll be in touch when we are ready to book another trip,
hopefully soon.
Many thanks, Lynn Hall |

We had a simply dreamy time and the trip you planned for us in
Ireland was just marvelous!!! Our three weeks was pure magic and we just
wanted to thank you for all of your help!
We had no problems or glitches whatsoever with the any of
the B+B vouchers or rental car arrangements - everything went smoothly!
As for our Ireland B+Bs - hats off to you!! We loved every
single place and our hosts were unquestionably the most gracious we had
encountered anywhere on our trip.
Thanks again for helping make our dream trip a splendid
reality!!! If only we could bore you with our 654 photographs!!!!

It is time that I let you know what a wonderful time we all
recently had in England & Wales. The Bed and Breakfast places were delightful,
we enjoyed all of the hosts, and naturally, ate ourselves silly over the
sumptuous food. You all did a fine job for us, and we thank you very much.
Each day was exciting and interesting to us. Each turn in the road brought
even more beauty and added to our knowledge and appreciation of the culture of
each village. Thank you so much.
With much appreciation, Beryl Grilley |

We have just returned from our trip to London & Ireland - and
we had a wonderful time. The hotel/B&B arrangements you made for us were
just great. We enjoyed staying at the Delmere Hotel in London. It was so close
to Paddington Station and a variety of restaurants. The Lion King Show and
Chelsea Flower Show was all we had hoped they would be. We walked for miles
and felt better each day. It was so easy to get around in London both on the
bus and underground and train. We used our travel cards every day, the Big Bus
City tour was very helpful - we took both the London and Dublin tours.
Ireland was unforgettable. The people and the countryside
were just spectacular. We particularly enjoyed the Beech Grove Farm at
Castleisland and Glenncarne House in Carrick-on-Shannon - the owners were
lovely. Most enjoyable accommodations. Our favorite stop was in Galway at the
beautiful B & B. Finally, we want to thank you for your excellent/efficient
plans, accommodations, activities and suggestions. You and your staff
certainly made our first trip to England and Ireland a memorable one. Thank
you again. We will not hesitate to tell our friends and family of your great
service.

I wanted to thank you so much for the fantastic vacation you helped us put together. Since we were staying in 12 different cities, I always had some worries that reservations would be lost, or some such nighmare. But there was no need to worry. All reservations were ready and waiting, clean, friendly, excellent food, with all 12 stops being just what we were looking for. Not only were all things taken care of, but they all seemed to you personally, many said they had seen you in the last few months, and all seemed to go out of their way for one of Elsie’s clients. Again, thank you for your help and I am more convinced than ever that the more familiar a travel agent is
with a place, the better job they can do for their customer, and I’m convinced you know England, Scotland, and Wales better than the locals. If you can use a recommendation, feel free to use mine any time you wish.

Debbie and I stayed in wonderful Bed & Breakfasts through Scotland, Wales and England. Hedy set up our trip and it was great. Not a single glitch. Bed and Breakfasts are the only way to go. They allow you to meet the local people who know everything about the area, the best places to go and their dining recommendations were also the best. Not only were the accommodations great but we saved lots of money compared to hotels that give you a cold feeling. The Bed and Breakfasts always made us feel at home. This was our honeymoon and if we had to do it again, we wouldn’t have changed a thing.

Just returned to Portland last night from the British Isles trip. Your arrangements, were as usual, absolutely magnificent. Thanks so much. Our Bed and Breakfast in St. Andrews was our favorite of the trip. Wonderful hosts and great food. Ideal for golfers, a block from Golf Course and close to city center. Our Bed & Breakfast in Dublin was also great – huge rooms, beautiful building, nice staff and good food. Excellent location, just a 20 minute walk to town.

We recently returned from the most wonderful experiences in Ireland, England, Wales, and Belgium. We thank you so much for reserving the wonderful Bed and Breakfasts for us. The car rentals worked wonderfully and the schedule for the trip went like clockwork. Don and I have traveled to many places and Ireland has to be one the most beautiful places in the world. The Cotswolds are also special and our Bed and Breakfasts hosts were a delight. Again, our thanks,

I wanted to tell you how successful our trip was. Everything went off without a hitch. The Bed & Breakfasts were great and often times we were the only guests because they had opened early for us, since you had been good to them in the past. Thank you again.

Postcard from England: Jeff and I are having a fabulous time! All the Bed & Breakfasts have been wonderul. The country is just gorgeous. We sing your praises to all we meet. Thank you so much for all your help.

Our trip was a success from start to finish and we cannot thank you enough. Every detail was perfect and the accommodations all top-notch. Rick had no problem driving in Ireland and County Kerry lived up to our expectations entirely. That was the highlight of the trip for me. We loved the trains, and the “tube”, which was so convenient and enabled us to see more. We were especially glad you helped us put Chester in our itinerary. We walked the entire wall, shopped, and enjoyed the ambiance of this historic place. We will certainly return! Thank you again.

We want to thank you for arranging such a great trip to London and Ireland for my family. Everything was just perfect and we all enjoyed it so much. The accommodations and arrangements went without a hitch. For your future clients, I would especially recommend 2 Hyde Park Square in London, Number 31 in Dublin, Blanchville House and Blenheim House. I got a chance to visit my ancestors’ home in Ireland and the boys loved London and Dublin.

We had an absolutely fabulous time. All the accommodations were wonderful, especially (as you suggested it would be) the Andrews in Bath. We saw so much, but obviously didn’t have time to see everything we’d like to see. We saw Mousetrap which we hadn’t seen in 20 years, so it was fresh to us, as well as Lion King which really has earned the raves. We ate wonderfully. Got upgraded accommodations in London (“Elsie is a very good customer”) was the reason given, and were touched when Irene in York told us you had asked her to look out for us. All in all, we felt we were in good hands. I can’t think of anything that
could have been improved upon. Next time we’d like to see the Scottish Highlands, Ireland and Wales. Thank again, You can be assured that I will happily recommend Elsie to friends.

Hi Hedy,
Just wanted to let you know that Dann and I had a fabulous
time in London. The choice of hotel (St. James Court) was wonderful because we
could walk to most everything. The location was just excellent! The hotel
experience was wonderful.
Thank you for everything. We didn't hit a snag the whole
time.
Hope to be booking with you again soon!

Dear Hedy,
Our trip was absolutely wonderful. You were right, my
favorite was the B&B in Taynton, Janet and Michael were so interesting and
caring. We spent many hours with them on their patio talking. We also really
liked Rosie and John in Oban. Ken and Cheryl in St. Ives prepared a wonderful
dinner for us and then spent the evening visiting with us. We also enjoyed our
evening at the Millslade - before dinner we sat and visited with the hostess
and other guests while we had drinks, then had the most delicious dinner by
candelight.
We liked the variety of the places where you booked us, but
I think the best were the ones where we had an opportunity to get to know the
owners.
Thank you again for all your planning. You did a great job.

Brent, Shane and I wanted to send you a very sincere "Thank
You" for all the arrangements you made on our trip to Ireland. We had a

We will certainly not hesitate to refer you to our friends.
