London & Bath Vacation Packages
One of our popular Tours of England
Summer 2003 (Apr 1 – Oct 31, 2003)
7 Days & 6 Nights
Here is what we consider the ideal vacation for those
with limited time and for those making their first trip to Britain. It
combines the excitement and diversions of London with a trip out to
another very famous, but quite different, English city: Bath.
While your accommodations in London will be in a hotel
of your choice, in Bath we will give you your first wonderful taste of a
British Bed & Breakfast.

Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrive London where you are
met and transferred by shuttle to the hotel of your choice.
Day 2 – Full day of
sightseeing of fabulous London on the Hop-on/Hop-off service,
the best way to see all of London’s great sites without being rushed..
See Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, the Houses of Parliament,
Westminster Abbey, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Buckingham Palace and the Tower
of London, plus all the great Museums of London, and many, many more
sights.
Day 3 – You’ve seen London
from the ground – now see it from a different perspective:
from the famous River Thames. This Hop-on/Hop-off cruise aboard a luxury
river-liner, takes you from Greenwich all the way to the Tower of London.
Day 4 – We’ve left this day
free for you to enjoy London on your own – stroll through the
leafy walks, ponds, fountains and equestrian trails of Hyde Park, go
shopping at some of London’s famous department stores, or one of its many
open air markets, or revisit its many impressive Museums. At night there
are theatre performances, guided walks, pub crawls.
Day 5 – Pack your bags and
board our mini-van for the drive to Bath. Enroute, the
professional driver/guide will show you Stonehenge and tell you about the
many myths, legends and mysteries surrounding this ancient monument.
You’ll also visit the charming village of Lacock which has changed so
little in 200 years that it has been used as the setting for many films
including “Harry Potter” and “Pride and Prejudice.” Continue to the
ancient Roman city of Bath, where you’ll be awed by the magnificent
Georgian architecture of this World Heritage City. You’ll be dropped off
here where you can catch a taxi to your charming Bed and Breakfast
accommodations.
Day 6 – Go into town today
and take advantage of the free walking tours provided by the city. Bath
is indeed a city best seen on foot and its knowledgeable guides will talk
about the history, legends and characters that have shared Bath through
the ages. Bath also has many lovely shops, delightful pubs and
restaurants of all levels – from modest cafes to exquisite gourmet
dining.
Day 7 – Your holiday ends after breakfast
today
There are many options available to you today. You can:
- Take the bus to Heathrow Airport (approximately $25 – 3 hours) or
- Take the train back to London ($75 – 1 ½ hours)
- Explore the rest of Britain by car - all the major car rental
