region was disputed land and its turbulent past has left a rich legacy of
spectacular hillforts and forbidding castles.

Cornwall's Atlantic Coast – Single Center
7 nights

North Cornwall's spectacular coastline of rugged headlands, sea stacks,
arches, and dark, forbidding caves, is a treacherous one. The jagged reefs and
shifting sandbars guarding the hidden inlets once provided easy pickings for
privateers and wreckers, and a refuge for smugglers. Today the boats returning
to the harbors land crab and lobster, rather than booty and contraband.
Our base for this holiday is the Castle Rock Hotel in Port Isaac, a
delightful fishing village with narrow streets, twisting alleys and
slate-roofed, whitewashed cottages clinging to the hillside above the tiny
harbor. The Castle Rock Hotel is superbly appointed with marvelous views of the
coastline. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities
